teapot

When using it for the first time

  • Please check the product.
After rinsing the main unit, add water until the 8th minute and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Then throw away the hot water. Repeat this 2-3 times. *Please be careful not to empty the fire.
At first, the hot water will be cloudy due to the metal, so please repeat it 2 to 3 times until the water becomes colorless before using it.
*If you boil the water at low heat, the water may become cloudy.
Boil it over medium heat and work on breaking it down.

Care after use

  • After use, wash the inside of the teapot and tea strainer thoroughly with cold or lukewarm water, and wipe off any moisture before storing. (The spout, the part where the tea strainer rests, the back of the lid, and the base of the handle are areas where moisture is particularly likely to remain. Please be careful. Leaving moisture remaining may cause rust.)
  • Remove any moisture from the tea or hot water on the surface of the teapot based on [Care for the surface of the teapot]. Leaving it for a long time (1 to 2 hours) may cause rust.
  • If tea stains form on the inside of the teapot due to long-term use, pour boiling water into the teapot, wait a while, and then wash it with a soft sponge and neutral detergent.

Handling precautions

  • You can't boil water. No open flames allowed. Do not use it over an open flame, as the enamel will peel off if it is heated dry.
  • The inside of the teapot is enamel-treated. When cleaning, please do not use anything that may damage the enamel surface, such as metal scrubbers or abrasives.
  • If you drop it on a sudden cold or hard surface, the impact may cause the main body to crack or the handle to come off. Please handle with care.
  • Placing it directly on a table or tray may cause scratches or dark stains, so please be sure to use a teapot holder.
  • If you are not going to use it for a long time, please dry the outside and inside of the teapot thoroughly and store it in a well-ventilated place.
  • Please use and store out of reach of children.
  • Cast iron products may rust if left with moisture, but iron rust is not harmful to health. Please feel free to use it as is.
  • Cannot be used in the microwave, dishwasher, or dryer.
  • Please do not use it for anything other than a teapot (pour hot water and make tea).
