Morioka Town Wind Chimes

As this is a souvenir from Morioka, I thought anew about Morioka. Morioka City was founded on the castle town centered around Morioka Castle. By illustrating Morioka's culture and nature along with its stone walls, I was able to express Morioka itself on the design of the tanzaku. Morioka Castle has a history of growing in stages, and the way the stone walls are stacked has changed over the ages. As a result, Iwate Park is characterized by the mixture of stone walls stacked in different ways in the same place, and I decided to make use of this feature by designing the box that holds the wind chimes with stone walls stacked in different ways on each side.
